i drive A LOT.....at least 3 hours a day and cover a lot of miles in my 1M. I've encountered and chatted with lots of really nice M3, M5, 1-series, 3-series owners on a fairly regular basis during my commute....especially when i'm stopped in traffic.
I am finding that F8X M3 and M4 drivers have to be some of the MOST obtuse and inconsiderate BMW drivers i've ever seen? Aside from the fact that i was violently cut off in traffic by 2 different F80 M3 drivers within the last 2 days having to brake to avoid hitting them after they aggressively changed lanes into my lane.......i've consistently noticed that M4 drivers (at least the 5 or 6 i've seen over the past few weeks through NYC) are totally terrorizing people in traffic. Weaving, cutting, i saw one flick off another car after cutting them off.
What is it about the F8X that causes these people to be so angry? Is it because of the way the car drives? Is it the engine sound/exhaust note? WHY!?
In contrast, i've noticed that E9X M3 owners have been amongst the nicest to talk to and we are mutually appreciative of our cars.....E46 M3 owners are even nicer.
BMW drivers already have a terrible reputation....i think the F8X drivers are going to make it even worse, unfortunately. Am i the only one who has noticed this? There appears to be a certain demographic at play here. Obviously most of the people on THIS forum are likely not like this as i'd like to think....but i'm curious if anyone else has noticed this.
