Someone explain to me what's cool about "stanced" cars

I think I'm way behind the times but wtf is the deal with "stanced" cars? I see cars rolling on some ridiculous camber and slammed to the ground.

There's some sort of meet going on in Ocean City called h2oi where it's nothing but these cars. Jalopnik even wrote up a piece about it http://ift.tt/1LnVplz
