Auto Stop-Start fail

So i was driving home the other day and just got off the freeway and got to a red light. I took my M235 out of sport and threw her in comfort so the auto stop start would kick in, shortly after the light turned green and when i lifted my foot off the brake the starter engaged like normal but instead of propelling me forward the engine stalled before it could move me forward and left me sitting there looking like a idiot. It left the car in D so when i hurriedly went to push the start button it yelled at me for not being in P, so i pushed the P button and hit the start button to start the engine and went to put it in D and in my hurry forgot to push the shift unlock button, so the car yelled at me again to push the button



it was a very Fail moment :thumbdown



is the auto start stop known to do this ? its a first for me, my car has just over 500 miles and only change was i installed a BMS intake that morning
