So I have a race car (gt3 cup) a street car (997s) and both have a cage plus proper seats with schroth harness. I think a Hans compatible harness is a must for even DE lap days.
3pt. doesn't hold you in the seat very well and causes you to strain to stay put. I so dislike most OEM seats (except GT2). Not to mention 3 pt with airbags is questionable from a safety standpoint in my opinion.
So one of the reasons I want an m3/m4 is the prospect of a usable back seat in a car that is competent for DE type track use. (Under warranty :thumsup:)
I've seen the Schroth quick fit pro in use by some on the current M3. While the seats are not great and the position of the belts a little suspect, at least schroth has does some testing. Because of the built in headrest in the M4, this system won't work.
So what can be done if I want proper seats (with airbags), usable back seats and a harness type system?
