New X1 owner

G'day to everyone from Western Australia. I just bought a 5,000 km demo X1 20i sdrive in valencia orange with sportline package a few weeks ago & I love it. Got a couple of potential problems, though. Nummer eins is a very noticeable diesel-like knocking noise from the exhaust side of the cylinder head, which occurs mostly when cold, but sometimes also when hot & not every time after it's started. It disappears within a minute of moving off. A friend even asked if we'd bought a diesel. It's the intermittent nature of the noise that really bothers me. Nummer zwei is oil vapour from the valve cover when I unscrew the oil filler cap. I don't know if this is normal in such a low km car. It's the first turbo car I've owned. Has anybody else experienced these problems? Thanx.
