My 1st BMW just landed in my garage. After decades as a SAAB-a-phile, I've moved from a 2000 Viggen to a 2010 328.
Here's the poop: 2010 328i sedan, Alpine While, Chestnut Brown leather, Sport Package, 6-speed manual, and frankly not sure what else.
Love the car so far. Feels bank vault solid, incredibile balance of handling/comfort, and love the sewing machine smooth engine.
The Viggen has been very realiable, and delivered kick-in-the-pants thrust with great mpg. But wanted something newer with low miles. Decided on the 328i because I wanted to experience the legendary straight-6 before it's a thing of the past, as well as BMW's chassis magic. I think a late E90 was a perfect choice.
Oh, also I'm diggin' the Chestnut leather. After many years in black I was ready for something more inviting. Not universally appealing I'm sure, but I love it. And so far the few friends who've seen it have given thumbs up.
Anyway, I'll be trolling this board to do some learning.
