Gruppe,
my E60 recently had an incident in a parking lot that requires a new right outside mirror assembly. My car has memory, electrochromatic glass, and puddle lamps. I was able to find a used mirror for around $260, and I'd spend another $50 or so having the cap color matched to my car.
For around the same $350ish figure, I can have a set of ACS replica mirrors from NVD Autosport. I've read enough reviews about NVD to where I feel comfortable with the quality. My question is just how much work is involved swapping the motors over to the new housings. Is it a simple 'remove and install', or is there more to it? I read on thread that mentioned having to sever the harness in order to snake it through the NVD housing - not something that I'm sure I want to do.
Can anyone here comment on NVD mirrors and how the install went???
thanks
