Recently a seatbelt on my X3 was caught in the door, the little plastic guide that is used as a seatbelt guide to hold the position of the actual clip and not let it slide down when you take off your seatbelt. wasn't me - thanks dad.
ya anyway, BMW dealer told me they don't list the clip as its own part and I need to buy an upper seatbelt assembly for $250 - really? thats kind of ridiculous, these things have to break sometimes, especially when my dad is around. he has broken them on his own car (don't get me started on the discussion we had about being sure the seatbelt retracts before closing the door...)
back to my point, does anyone know where to get this clip - either BMW specific or generic (most cars have something similar, and most seatbelts are pretty similar... pretty much just needs to be same color - black)
My is a 2011 X3 35i if anyone cares, although I may repost this on a general BMW parts forum as well since all BMW's and all cars have these.
any help to not spend $250 or go without (its more of an inconvenience than a safety issue I beleive)
Thanks
Greg
