UK x3 collected - first impressions
Firstly, thanks to this forum, I was able to buy the right second hand X3 20d Sport.
Sad to say, the car wasn't presented at its best on collection but then again, I'm fussy. Lots of tar spots on the paint, dirty inside the car, etc
UK BMW dealers getting very complacent these days.
Like...driving position, mechanical refinement, quality of leather and overall interior compared to Gen 1.
Disappointed that iPod still needs BMW connector, basic Bluetooth is exactly what it says...no Bluetooth streaming.
First mods include upgrading all interior lights to LED..makes a huge difference.
As the car is white, contemplating ceramic paint coating...anyone done this ?

Dpf fault
Alright guys I had dpf yellow fault show up on dash yesterday so I took it on a 50 miles drive down motorway in fourth well above 2,500 rpm and fault light showed again today, what are my options btw the car drives fine still nice and smooth no issues except for the light comming on for 30 seconds ????
Opinions on best track tires and wheel fitment
Posted this in the Wheel & Tire section without a single reply, so ill try here.
Ok so im wondering what tire most like for the Track? i no everyone may have different opinions but i figure if one tire comes up more then others then theres and average favorite.
Also there for my Stock suspension ZCP 2011 M3 (may do Swift R specs) and the rims will be 18x10 square set up as long as 10's will fit the front without rubbing.
Rims will be 18x10" ET25 APEX ARC-8. Thanks

Buying ex BMW Fleet at Auction
I was prompted to post by the Big Motoring World post and Lester....
I had a look at the BCA website last night, and noticed a nice amount of ex fleet BMWs. I'm going to go down one day to the local one to me (Blackbushe) but wondered if any of you have bought at auction? I know that there is loads of stuff on t'internet, but you guys are a discerning lot, so your opinion counts more....
I'd be after a within BMW warranty (which many of them are) E91 (or newer variant) but don't want to pay forecourt prices.
I'm guessing that, at a minimum, my homework would include:
Glasses (or equiv) estimated guide price
HPI check (would I really need to do this on ex fleet?)
VIN check on last 7 digits to find true spec
Full BMW Service History
As a guide, would you say that prices tend to be slightly less than Trade In price?
