Hi fellow Bimmerposters,
I've been involved with a local charity here in South Florida called Tomorrow's Rainbow.
They work with grieving children, who've lost a parent, sibling, or other loved one, and use miniature horses for the kids to work through their grief. It's truly a beautiful place.
Here's some powerful info:
A team of folks and I are helping fund raise $15,000 by next Monday in order for the board of directors (who set this deadline) to release an extra $10k of funds they already have earmarked to open a thrift store.
The thrift store would be allowing this charity to operate with an income stream and focus more on helping grieving children and less on fundraising activities.
If you would like to donate - any amount would be hugely appreciated, whether $1 or $1000, here are the instructions:
We will also be doing a beach cleanup and other events, to learn more check out this FB page:

What if your mom or dad had died when you were 3? 1 in 20 kids in the US experience the pain of having to deal with the grief of losing mom and dad. It's a horrible tragedy and YOU CAN HELP by giving 5, 10, 100 (or what you are comfortable with giving.) From now until Sunday, the 25th, please support Tomorrow's Rainbow as we raise 13,000 dollars so their board of directors will give them initial funding to build a self sustaining thrift store. Without Tomorrow's Rainbow, over 1200 families and kids, since 2005, would have dealt with grief alone. Instead, with your help, more kids can go through the FREE support provided. |
