climate control not working

Hi all I've got a problem with my climate control, it was running ice cold on my way to work then it just turned hot. Not warm but really hot. The fan works but I get no air out of the front vents. The night before I ran a cable from the 12v plug in the ashtray to the back of the car, I hope I haven't disturbed anything? It seems the motor that changes the air direction isn't working either. Hope someone on here has any ideas :(
