SirDaft1's Walnut Blast + First Dyno + Logs (help?)

Brought my auto '07 335i into A-Spec Tuning to retrofit an oil cooler housing and walnut blast the valves. Sean and Brad said that they were the most gunked up intake ports that they had ever seen (pics coming shortly). Mods are JB4 Map 1, DCI, VRSF Chargepipe and upgraded 25 row Setrab Oil Cooler. Stock DV's, 93 octane.

Post walnut blast we dyno'd at 336whp and 371wtq but dropped considerably in runs 2-4 (315ish whp and 355wtq). Heatsoak?

Anyways, I didn't log during the dyno testing, so I logged a couple of runs tonight. I'm not an expert at reading these logs, would anyone be able to help me read these to tell me if they look normal? Here's the link:

Video from today's dyno...

On a sidenote: I flipped the oil cooler thermostat so it is always open and I ran the car pretty hard tonight. 67F outside and I couldn't get the oil temps over 235F. MASSIVE improvement over the non-oil cooled early '07 335 temps that frequently hit 260F+ when driven hard.

Here's the installed Setrab (Series 625... It's a tight fit!)

No 'Tool' Section? Milwaukee 'Fuel' Impacts!!! Obsessed with these things!

vendredi 1 août 2014

Surprised to not see a Tools section/board on here....or am I missing it?

Anyone picked up a Milwaukee Fuel impact?

I grabbed the M18 1/2" Impact a few weeks ago. This thing is a beast! I've read it has hit 900 lb torque. I believe it. I nearly broke my wrist under my car pulling my drive shaft off. Realized the 1/2" is for big boy jobs only....

....so I went out band grabbed the 1/4" Hex Fuel M12! This thing is such bad ass little tool. Got the Shockwave bit kit with 1/4 hex sockets, hex to 3/8" socket adapter, torx bits, extensions etc. I am constantly wanting to take things apart now. Best tool in the garage by far. Battery power is ridiculous and the charging system fills them up in less than 30 minutes.

I had been considering a compressor and some air tools but no need now with the Milwaukee setup.

Curious if anyone else has added any of these to their collection. ?

Drivers Side Glove Conpartment

Hi there,

Has anybody managed to retrofit the drivers side glove compartment?

I have an F33 and it doesn't have it, just a recess in the moulding. My F11 had is and I miss it!

Thanks,

Zak

Leavin for the P-cars...

Well that was fun...Have been looking for something bigger than the F30 I've got currently since the addition of the infant seat in the back makes the passenger side front seat have to be moved all the way forward, thereby losing that seat too. I also haven't been very happy with the F30 in general, too many squeaks and groans from what sounds like poor craftmanship and a suspension that's just too "floaty" for me.

So after a lot of research online, decided on either a new Porsche Cayenne GTS or a year-old Cayenne Turbo. Yesterday, my wife and I went to the Porsche dealership to take a look around with the baby in her carrier and it happened....My wife's jaw was literally hanging open as she saw the new Macan. Just for reference, she drives a Hyundai Veloster now that she loves and we've been talking about getting her something bigger and safer like the RR Evoque. She was reluctantly coming around to the Evoque but this was different. She just stood by the Macan with a huge smile on her face. The sales guy's smile was even bigger cuz he knew he didn't have to say word...

We left the dealership to give it a few days to think it over. Her Veloster lease still has a year on it and I was planning on returning her Veloster and getting my Cayenne but that doesn't look like it'll be happening!

Matching Porsches....Crap....We're gonna be THOSE people.....
