I've had my 335i for a little over two years now and I absolutely love it. But, every now and then, I really miss the naturally aspirated power of my old 328i. You can really wind the N52 out, which is a lot of fun sometimes, without going triple the speed limit.
I'm thinking I may have to add an early model E92 328i to the fleet on the cheap somewhere, just so I can get that N/A fix when I want it.
I think as all automobiles become turbo-charged, there is going to be a sort of mini-revolution of car buyers who long for the days of naturally aspirated power. Since the N52 is probably BMW's best non-M naturally aspirated inline-six cylinder engine ever, I'm willing to bet it will see a resurgence in popularity down the road a ways.
